Through Jason Hamlin Consulting I provide fractional product management services to the life sciences sector offering expertise in product strategy, market analysis, and technology commercialization to help companies accelerate growth and stay competitive. 

Work Experience

At STEMCELL Technologies I led a team of Product Managers with a portfolio of products spanning private label neural media products, cryopreservation media,  induced Pluripotent Stem Cells and Organoids. I was involved in strategic planning, market forecasting and business case evaluation helping shape the company’s product roadmap and growth trajectory. 

Previously as a product manager for the neuroscience portfolio I worked cross-functionally to launch multiple new products and built an integrated product ecosystem supporting strong portfolio growth. This experience reinforced my ability to align product innovation with customer needs bridging the gap between research and commercialization. 

At Sanofi Genzyme I worked on preclinical neuroscience discovery, focusing on rare disease research, assay development and biomarkers in GBA-related Parkinson’s disease. My academic background includes a PhD in Neuroscience from McGill University where I investigated protein pathways in ALS leading to multiple publications and mentorship roles.

I work with biotech executives, investors and startups to build strategies for biotech products. In doing so, we will identify gaps and opportunities to ensure product success. I am experienced at translating science into market-ready innovations, at creating investment and business analyses and evaluating market potential. 

Passion Beyond Work

When I am not working with clients I volunteer for local charities in New Westminster and spend time outdoors. I guess you could say that I have some stereotypical Canadian traits such as camping in the outdoors (in beautiful British Columbia) or ice skating.
